What documents are required to rent a storage unit?

To finalize your HOMEBOX storage rental contract, our teams will ask you to provide certain documents.

France

If you are renting as a private individual, you must provide at least:

• A valid ID document, such as a national ID card or passport
• Proof of address less than 2 months old, such as a rent receipt or electricity bill

If you are hosted by someone, you must also provide the ID and proof of address of the person hosting you.

If you are renting for professional purposes, you must provide:

• A company registration extract less than 2 months old
• Written authorization from the company manager
• A copy of the manager’s ID document

Switzerland

If you are renting as a private individual, you must provide:

• The ID document of the person signing the contract
• A power of attorney if the signatory is not the legal representative

If you are renting for professional purposes, a commercial register extract will also be required.

Germany

If you are renting as a private individual, you must provide:

• A valid ID document, such as an identity card or passport.
• If you present a passport, a registration certificate confirming your current address is also required.
• If you choose SEPA payment, which we recommend, you should also provide your bank card.

If you are renting for professional purposes, you must provide:

• Written authorization from the managing director
• A copy of the managing director’s ID document
• A copy of the authorized representative’s ID document
