Privacy policy

HOMEBOX* companies are committed to ensuring that the collection and processing of personal data complies with the the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

In the following:

  • the term "You" or "Your" refers to any person concerned by the processing of personal data as described in this privacy policy.
  • The term "Service" describes all services offered by HOMEBOX or its operators, under the brand names HOMEBOX, BOX-AT-HOME, MOBIL BOX, or POINT STOCK.

 

Personal data collected

HOMEBOX limits the collection of personal data to what is adequate, relevant and strictly necessary for the processing and management of the commercial relationship.

Failure to provide this data may, depending on the case, result in the inability to conclude the contract and/or provide the services and/or make commercial offers.

 

Processing customer data

HOMEBOX processes your personal data, either directly or through its operators, for the purposes of:

  • Managing the commercial relationship with you or your company, including the creation of the customer account, the management of the contract and the invoicing of the services;
  • Providing the services and ensuring the security of the storage premises, by sending messages (text or instant messages), or information emails about events concerning your facility, video surveillance, and access control;
  • Connecting people in the framework of peer-to-peer storage;
  • Improving the quality of service (asking your opinion on our services via our partners, creating a bespoke offer, combating fraud, identifying any malfunctions, carrying out statistical analyses using data that may be anonymised);
  • Making commercial offers that may be of interest to you, provided you do not object to the processing of your data.

This processing is based on the contract concluded with you, and/or on the legitimate interests of HOMEBOX or its operators in order to ensure the management and security of the services, and to support their business development and/or compliance with the legal obligations of HOMEBOX or its operators.

 

Processing prospect data

HOMEBOX processes your personal data for the purposes of:

  • Creating a quote at your request. For these purposes, HOMEBOX may contact you by phone, text or instant message, and email;
  • Improving the quality of service (asking your opinion on our services via our partners, creating a bespoke offer, combating fraud, identifying any malfunctions, carrying out statistical analyses using data that may be anonymised); 
  • Making commercial offers that may be of interest to you.

This processing is based on your consent, and you may refuse to receive commercial prospecting offers at any time.

 

Recording of phone calls with HOMEBOX teams

Your conversations with the HOMEBOX teams may be recorded, for quality control and training purposes, as well as to ensure the traceability of HOMEBOX's relations with its customers and prospects. Callers are informed of this recording prior to the start of the conversation, and may refuse to give their consent. The recordings will be kept for a maximum of 6 months.

 

Data transmission

Your personal data is mostly used by HOMEBOX and its operators. It is only shared with our partners to ensure the correct execution of the service and manage the commercial relationship, namely:

  • HOMEBOX's partners for managing credit card and direct debit payments;
  • Service providers involved in monitoring sales relations and marketing communications.

 

Data retention

Your personal data is kept in France for a duration adapted to the purpose of its processing. In general terms, prospect data is kept for a maximum of two years after the last contact with HOMEBOX; customer data is kept for the duration of the contract and for a maximum of ten years after the end of the contract. By way of exception, this data may be kept for longer in case of claims and disputes, or to meet specific legal and/or regulatory obligations.

 

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data and the rectification of inaccurate data. You may ask for your data to be deleted and its processing limited, and you may also oppose its processing altogether, within the limits established by applicable legislation. You have the right to the portability of the personal data you provided to HOMEBOX or its operators, under the provisions of the applicable legislation. You also have the right to outline directives relative to the conservation, deletion and communication of your personal data processed after your death, in accordance with the applicable legislative and regulatory provisions.

In cases where data processing has required your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
