How does goods reception work?

Goods reception is a service offered at some HOMEBOX centres, under conditions. It is not a systematic service, nor a parcel pick-up point.

General operation: if your centre offers this service, you must notify the team in advance to agree on the reception terms. Written authorisation may be requested in the form of a reception mandate. Goods are received in a dedicated area and, depending on the case, may be:

  • stored temporarily in the reception area,
  • or placed directly in your unit, if agreed beforehand (a separate service, to be confirmed with the centre).

Conditions:

  • The rented unit must be large enough to hold the goods.
  • The parcel must be identifiable (unit number or company name clearly indicated).
  • Without identification, the delivery may be refused.
  • Reception is time-limited, often 48 hours maximum, particularly within the service dedicated to business customers (key accounts).

Pricing: this service may be included in the rental price or charged separately, depending on the centre. Conditions vary locally.

Important: HOMEBOX centres are not parcel pick-up points. Deliveries must relate to your storage use, not to distribution or transit activities. For the exact terms that apply to your situation, we recommend contacting your HOMEBOX centre directly.
