How can I access my storage unit?

When you sign the contract, you will be given a personal and confidential access code. This code is essential to access your storage unit and ensure the security of the site.

It allows you to:

  • enter the storage facility,
  • deactivate the alarm linked to your unit,
  • and reactivate it when you leave.

Even if another customer opens the HOMEBOX entrance door, you must still enter your code both when entering and leaving. Each access is recorded, ensuring the security of the entire facility.

Once inside the HOMEBOX facility, your storage unit is secured with a padlock that you bring yourself or purchase on site. You are the only person who has the key or code to this padlock, meaning HOMEBOX never has direct access to your unit. All HOMEBOX centers are equipped with an access control system using a personal code that allows every entry to the facility to be identified.

Germany: Your storage unit is rented without a lock, as stated in the German terms and conditions. You must secure it with your own padlock (also available for purchase on site). Only you have the key or code — HOMEBOX has no direct access to your unit.
