Does the insurance cover damage? What are the conditions to be reimbursed?
Yes, the insurance offered by HOMEBOX covers certain types of damage such as theft, fire, water damage or weather events, according to the cover provided in the contract. To be reimbursed, you must:
- report the claim within the deadline stated in your contract (generally 5 business days, or 48 hours in Germany),
- provide proof of the value of the damaged or stolen goods (invoices, photos, certificates, etc.),
- comply with the general terms of use of the unit (in particular, not storing goods excluded from the cover).
Cover depends on the insurance level you have chosen and may be capped. For more details, refer to your insurance contract or contact your HOMEBOX centre.
